Broker's Comments

Echos of a bygone era! A TSDY for sale in France. Boatshed Bourgogne is pleased to offer this classic motor cruiser for sale presently moored in a marine well situated for cruising the French waterways or the Med. coast. Sensible sized twin Fords giving coastal security yet not too over-sized for canal & river cruising. The stabilisers have been removed to facilitate use on inland waterways and this could really make an excellent "five legged sheep" for coastal and inland navigation. Classic comfort with spacious decks. She is on the dry in september in a yard where she has benefited of several maintainance works (new bowthruster engine, solar panels, hull paint, new anodes, solar panels, props checks...)

Dear Graham,

My wife and I are considering buying such a classic cruiser to cruise the rivers and canals in Europe from say April each year until October. We live in Southern Turkey at present and plan to sell our property within a year. We also own a flat in Seaford, East Sussex and the thinking is to cruise in the Summer months and return to UK for the Winter. Can you advise how we can research the various aspects of owning and cruising such a vessel? For example, how much should we budget for keeping the vessel in a marina from November through to April? how much is it to stop overnight on the rivers and canals etc?.......

Any pointers you can provide would be very much appreciated.

With kindest regards,

Hamish & Terri Nicol.
